Luke Littler rival who vowed to 'smash' him left embarrassed by teen darts sensation

Luke Littler's opponent was left red-faced after vowing to 'smash' the teen in Premier League Darts.

Nathan Aspinall, who had confidently predicted a win over Littler on SportsBoom, found himself on the receiving end of a 6-3 defeat on Night 6 of the tournament in Brighton. Both players, managed by the same company and often practising together, know each other's games well. Despite this, Aspinall claimed that 17-year-old Littler had never bested him during their practice sessions.

"Rest assured I'm going to smash him in Brighton," he told SportsBoom before Thursday's match. "I keep telling Luke, the next time we meet on that stage, I'm going to batter him."

"We train together regularly, and he's never beaten me in practice. He hit that fantastic nine-darter against me in Bahrain, but it'll be a different story in Brighton."

However, the match didn't go as Aspinall had anticipated. Littler dominated the game, leading 5-1 and aiming for victory in no time, while his training partner struggled, reports the Express.
